Law No. 6493 and its supplementary regulations control the market, introducing such notions as e-money, digital wallets, and digital currencies. The Crypto Assets Regulation defines cryptoassets for the very first time as virtually generated intangible assets which are spread through online channels but cannot be accepted as 'fiat money, deposit money, electronic money, payment instruments, securities or other capital market instruments'. This document also states that special guidelines shall apply to cryptoassets.1
