Depending on a software vendor forever is a business risk, and most platform contracts quietly create one. The usual promise — that you could migrate away eventually — is worth very little, because nobody plans for it and the vendor has no reason to make it easy. We would rather write the exit into the deal at the beginning.
Pilot. A fixed-term, low-risk way to see the platform working with your branding and your selected workflows before committing to a production build. When the term ends the environment becomes read-only or is disabled in a controlled way — nothing is deleted by surprise — and the pilot payment is credited towards a production purchase if you convert within the agreed window.
Build-to-Own. A lower entry payment plus a monthly fee during a managed period. When the agreed term and payment conditions are met, the agreed source rights to your implementation transfer to you. Because we finance the entry and carry the operational burden in the meantime, the total cost of this route is higher than buying outright — that is the trade being made, and it is stated rather than hidden.
Own from Day One. You take the agreed rights to the delivered implementation at delivery, with no managed period in between. This is the shortest route to independence and the one that costs least in total.
Current price anchors for all three are published on the pricing page, and the configurator produces an exact proposal.
The point of listing this is practical: a handover that arrives without the schema, the deployment steps or the tests is not a handover, it is a folder of code.
Client owns or receives the agreed rights to the delivered client implementation. FinMV retains its pre-existing technology, reusable specifications, generic components, architecture patterns and know-how.
In practice that means the reusable platform specification, generic domain models, reusable modules and integration patterns, conformance tests, templates and internal methodology stay with FinMV and go on serving every client. What you receive is your platform, not our entire company — and the distinction is written into the agreement rather than left to interpretation. A separate full IP assignment is possible as an enterprise arrangement; it is not the standard product.
Support is a product you may buy, not a condition of owning what you paid for. Maintenance, managed operations and architecture advisory are available separately, and another engineering team can take the platform over — that is what the documentation, schema and tests are for.
Independence is the deliverable. Continuing to work with us should be a decision you make, not a situation you are stuck in.
